Hi all,
The IRC helper plugin which boasts of :-
IRC Helper is a plugin to handle the rough edges of the IRC protocol and
make it behave like the other protocols in libpurple. Currently, the two
major features are:
1. Transparent authentication with a variety of services.
2. Suppression of various useless messages.
Doesn't play nice with the nickserv at irc.oftc.net (most of the debian
crowd lives there) . If possible please register & test it there. I have to
do manual authentication each time i connect. I tried disabling the account,
re-checked the password, re-enabled the account, still have to manually
authenticate. Then I deleted the account from pidgin, exited from pidgin,
again opened the account & gave all the relevant details but the manual
authtentication issue still persists. Please have a look into it. Lemme know
if any logs are needed.
