We held our meeting as planned. We decided quite a bit and have started to take
action on it as described at http://plugins.guifications.org/trac/wiki/Triage
and below. I'm not going to cover everything here because there's just too
much. I'm hitting what I feel are the most important things here.
> * User Permission Issues:
> o Wiki editing permissions
> + Should users be allowed to?
We agreed this should be enabled. There are/will be a few pages we don't want
users to be able to edit (our policies), and we have taken appropriate measures.
I enabled authenticated users to edit the wiki tonight.
> * Review Channel Guidelines
This is done. I have removed the markers stating the page is a draft.
> * Determine policy for adopting plugins
We have a policy. I will write up a page on this after some discussion with my
fellow developers.
> * Determine source viewing issues
> o You can't browse our source from the site
Daniel is going to take care of this with viewmtn, similarly to how Pidgin has
done. It may take a while.
> * Discuss Plugins:
> o I10N plugin
> + Like our old I18N page, but integrated into trac.
> + This will need to be written, but can be done simply.
> o Simple Ticket
> o Spam-Filter
Gary installed the spam filter plugin. We are learning it as we go. Hopefully
it will be a useful addition to our arsenal.
> o Mailman
> + This is more of a "it'd be nice", and have to be
> written
> o Planet
> + Finish the plugin and set it back up?
We decided against these--there's no point because not all of us blog and for
the most part, those of us who do don't do so very often. Even so, most of us
who do are on Planet IM (http://planet-im.com) or can be added there. Mailman
isn't that important that we need to integrate it into Trac.
> o Last.fm
> + We have a http://www.last.fm/ group do we want to
> integrate that in as well?
I agreed to look into this. I don't see a way to do it. It would have been
nice though.
> o seti at home
> + We have a seti at home team. Right now it's just Gary
> Kramlich and John Bailey so is integration even worth
> it?
No integration until this becomes a real group. Two people doesn't exactly fit
the bill. ;)
> o Guifications Theme
> + I would like a plugin that made it easier for people
> to upload and maintain their guifications themes.
> + This may not be worth it since we're only keeping it
> working, but we do still have semi active theme

We're going to continue to do this via tickets for the time being. When we
finish Guifications 3, we will need to revisit this issue.
So, there's our status report!
