Comment:

 You can right-click each group and use the "Guifications Theme" menu
 option to specify a theme for the group.  By setting the theme to "None"
 for groups you don't want notifications for, you will effectively disable
 notifications for that group.

 We aren't currently adding features to Guifications 2 (only bug fixes),
 but even if we were actively developing, I believe the buddy pounces would
 be more appropriate if they could be applied to groups as well as
 individual buddies and contacts.
