 Sorry about the delay.

 Just recompiled the devel version of plugin-pack with your patch. Tested
 it using my 2 msn accounts talking to each other and looks like it fixed
 the issue. Can't test with other protocols nor other people right now, but
 I'll ASAP, yay! :)

 Anyway, even though I think it isn't necessary now, here are your answers:

 I set a global auto-reply message. To be more precise I just use the
 default one. (It's cool. :-)

 If I understood your question right: It happens with the exact account
 which I change the settings. Eg: If I change a MSN setting, then it will
 return a blank message, but under Jabber it will work normally. However,
 if I change a Jabber protocol setting, then both MSN and Jabber return
 blank messages even though AIM is ok.

 I tested the issue under both MSN and Gtalk(Jabber). About the settings,
 hum... Under both I just check (or uncheck) the 'New mail notifications'
 and then it does happen.

 Finally: Yeah, I've an autoreply set but when I change a protocol setting
 a blank message is sent instead of them.
