 I have received three emails which appear to be from you because I am a
 mailing list administrator here.  The fact that I received these messages
 is directly related to the fact that you have used the "reply" function of
 your email client, which appears, given the message's headers, to be the
 web interface of hotmail.

 Your emails went to a mailing list that is for developer use only--anyone
 who posts to this list must wait for an administrator to approve or deny
 the message.  As a matter of policy, any address sending to that list is
 added to the list of addresses to reject all mail from whenever the
 administrators happen to administer the pending messages.

 The first mail is as follows:

 I ignored this email because it provided no further information that is in

 issue... but would like to have the existing email notification actually
 pop up at all on its own. Please reopen this until it is resolved. Thank

 I ignored this email as well, for the same reason as the first.  I did,
 however mention this in [comment:4 comment 4] because I received the
 replies to the ticket notification mails.

 For completeness, I will note that '''both''' of these mails were sent and
 processed by the guifications.org mailing list prior to the posting of
 [comment:2 comment 2].  These mails should have been posted to the ticket
 instead of generated as e-mails, and should have both been worded
 coherently as a single unit to post as a single comment.

 The third mail reads as follows:

 This mail came after I posted [comment:4 comment 4].

 The fact of the matter here is that '''''__NOWHERE__''''' in the original
 submitted ticket is it mentioned that '''Pidgin's Notification Area
 icon''' is not showing a mail notification.  This information was in no
 way presented prior to [comment:3 comment 3].  If you don't believe me,
 feel free to re-read your original text, reproduced (verbatim) here:

 Popup notifications are the realm of Guifications 2.x.  This quite clearly
 leads me to believe you are requesting a feature for Guifications.
 Guifications already has email notifications, but has issues as described
 in #328.  Such a request for a popup notification is clearly a
 differently-phrased duplicate of the existing bug report.

 Considering that this bug tracker is quite clearly for Guifications 2.x
 and the Purple Plugin Pack, '''''not Pidgin''''', anything that is lacking
 in Pidgin itself is completely irrelevant here.  Thus, any ticket on this
 trac must be related to our code, and therefore my assertion that this is
 a duplicate of #328 is correct.  If, however, you are requesting a feature
 of Pidgin, then you must make the request '''''of them''''', which renders
 this ticket completely invalid.

 So, take your pick.  This ticket is either a duplicate or invalid.  End of
 discussion.
