 We probably ''could'' insert a horizontal rule; I personally am not
 inclined to do so, as I like the current behavior.  It's Gary's plugin
 though, and he's free to do whatever he wants.

 notice go unnoticed, than what's the point? If nothing else, making the
 information more visible is a matter of personal preference.

 There really is no historical significance other than we were aiming to
 mimic irssi as closely as possible.
